ORDER OF SACRED SHELTER

A Housing Initiative of the Temple of Self Liberation
“We do not steal—we restore. We do not destroy—we protect.”

WHAT IS THE ORDER OF SACRED SHELTER?

The Order of Sacred Shelter is a faith-based housing ministry that transforms abandoned and neglected buildings into sacred, temporary shelter for those in need.

We offer a lifeline—not a takeover.

We believe every human deserves a safe place to rest, and that no home should sit empty while children sleep on sidewalks. Rooted in the 142 Laws of Ma’at, we act with spiritual discipline, honesty, cleanliness, and peace.

What We Do

✅ Identify long-abandoned homes (vacant 6+ months)

✅ Occupy peacefully under spiritual protection

✅ Clean, repair, and maintain the property at our own cost

✅ Provide sacred shelter to unhoused Temple members in need

✅ Vacate respectfully if the legal owner reclaims the property

✅ Document all improvements and offer formal caretaker agreements

We are not squatters—we are caretakers of neglected space.

How We Protect Property Owners

We take no legal claim of ownership

We agree to vacate peacefully with proper notice

We leave the home in better condition than we found it

We are willing to sign a Caretaker Agreement and cover damages

This is not a rebellion—it’s a solution.

Who we are

The Temple of Self Liberation is a spiritual community rooted in the ancient laws of Ma’at:

Truth. Justice. Balance. Harmony. Compassion. Order. Self-Discipline.

We are not a gang. We are not a cult.

We are a sanctuary of peace in a chaotic world.

Our promise to the Communities

No drug use or violence in our spaces

No loitering or illegal activity

Respect for neighbors and the surrounding area

Quiet, clean, and cooperative caretaking

Open communication with owners and officials.

Spiritual Shelter Plan

Order of Sacred Shelter

Under the Temple of Self Liberation

“No soul shall be denied rest under the skies of this planet. We restore the broken not just with words, but with shelter.”

---

Core Purpose:

To ethically occupy and care for vacant, abandoned, or neglected buildings as temporary sanctuary housing for unhoused individuals and families—in strict alignment with the 142 Laws of Ma’at.

This is not an act of theft.

This is not criminal squatting.

This is divine restoration and protective stewardship.

--- Declaration of the Order of Sacred Shelter

We, the caretakers of the Temple of Self Liberation, do solemnly affirm the following:

1. We shall only enter dwellings abandoned or neglected beyond six moons (6+ months), where no active claim or maintenance has been observed.

2. We shall not damage, steal, vandalize, or defile the space. We restore, not ruin. We respect the land, the home, and its legacy.

3. In the homes not leased agree to vacate peacefully if a verified legal owner reclaims the property, with proper notice. We do not covet—we protect.

4. We document all improvements, cleanups, and restoration efforts, and keep clear records for transparency and legal protection.

5. We offer an open invitation to property owners to formalize our caretaking, and we will sign repair guarantees, hold harmless agreements, or voluntary caretaking contracts where applicable.

6. We reject criminalization of survival. Shelter is a right under divine law.

7. No drugs, weapons, or commercial activity shall be permitted in Temple sanctuary spaces. These are homes of healing.

8. Every occupant shall take a vow to live by the 142 Laws of Ma’at, with daily meditation, sacred order, and community harmony.

9. We will return the home in better condition than we found it, to prove that righteousness elevates all things.

10. We will leave no child, elder, or soul without rest if we have the power to offer a roof, a mat, and peace.
